Wizard 101 and group combat
Group combat in Wizard 101 is easy to get into, simply run into someone’s combat circle and if there’s a space left, you’ll join the group. Another monster or two will join the circle as well just to make it a fair fight. You can have a total of four wizards and four monsters.
Of course, if you’re the last in line for combat you might find that by the time it’s your turn, the monster you targeted is dead. The combat circle has some helpful information so that you don’t waste a turn unnecessarily. Each position has a symbol associated with it. For wizard it’s the sun, eye, star, or moon. For monsters it’s the knife, key, gem, or swirly symbol. These symbols help in determining who’s attacking which monster.
By looking at the information we can see that Seth is standing in the sun position, and that he’ll be casting his leprechaun spell against the monster that’s standing in the knife position. You can also see how much health Seth has, so if you were further down the line and had a healing spell, you could use it on Seth. It’s a handy little thing to have and it saves you wasting a turn, especially considering how slow the combat can be in a group.
