Earthrise

24 February, 2008 (15:26) | All, Earthrise

Bulgarian developers Masthead Studios is currently working on Earthrise, a post apocalyptic Sci Fi MMO scheduled for release in 2009.  Like most developers they are promising unique and engaging gameplay, meaningful PvP, new crafting system and so on.  There is also no levelling, with player advancement being skill based. This from their website.

There are no character levels in Earthrise. Instead, advancement is purely skill based. Each skill can be improved to its maximum potential and players will reach a peak in their development when they have no more skills to improve on. Future expansions will bring new and expanded skills to allow further character development.

You will also be able to choose a career and earn cash while offline.

In addition to their skills and abilities gained from adventuring, battling, and crafting, characters can take a “career” that will provide them with cash and other perks. Characters will advance in their career whenever they are offline. You can think of your character’s career as their “day job”: It’s how they make money when they aren’t killing mutants or battling in the Outer Territories or experimenting with lost technology. Some of the careers in the game include Holo Artist, Electro Sampler and Zero-T operator

So…would this be EvE with Avatars? Tabula Rasa with better gameplay?
Interested indeed

I’m thinking it’s more TR than EvE, no mention of space exploration/combat. I’m interested also, TR was a bit of a disappointment for me.
